1994 Yamaha Waverunner 3 (650 cc), has a hose with what appears to be a quick connect (reminds me of a hydraulic quick connect I see on tractors except it is plastic) for flushing. I bought a manual but it does not reference this connection or give a flushing procedure at all. I remember once someone told me that the motor needs to be running before the water is on to prevent flooding of the cylinders with water and I don't want that. What is the procedure and where might I find a connector/adapter for a water hose?

Yes it is good to start the motor before running it through a flush also make sure not to fully crank up the water pressure. Also shut the water off before shutting off the ski . I may have another one of these flush hoses for the Yamaha. ill check and let you know soon. james

The Yamaha owners manual will help you with flushing the cooling system on your watercraft. It can be downloaded free from the Yamaha site here ( http://www.yamahaownershandbook.com.au/index.php ) I did a quick search for waverunner 3 and found it under model year 1992.
Product Category = Watervehicle
Model Name = Leave blank
Model Year = 1992
Hit the search button and you will see the owners manuals in red on the right hand side. They are in PDF format.
Have a look at page 10-3
Hope this helps.
